When it comes to being healthy and clean, you have to pay attention to what you put into your body. For a long time, I eat fast food and other junk, and I was overweight, unhealthy, and in bad shape. While I eventually started eating cleaner, I wanted to make sure that I was being as clean as possible, which is when I started paying attention to my water.
Although tap water is treated for germs and disease, the fact is that many times it has other chemicals and minerals, both as a result of the treatment as well as from the pipes it comes through. As a result, a lot of our water is tainted with calcium, magnesium, chlorine, fluoride, lead, and other elements. Once I found out about it, I knew that I had to do something.
While I could buy bottled water and avoid the tap, the fact is that I don’t want to contribute to environmental waste. Fortunately, there is a solution, which is to get an under sink water filter. These handy devices attach to your water line and treat your water before it comes out of your sink so that you can have fresh, clean water every time you turn on the faucet.

Best Under Sink Water Filters – Review
1. Nahla Pure Premium Under Sink Filter
When trying to find the best water filters, you have to consider several factors. One of the most important, in fact, is how long the filter will last. Some generic systems will only treat water for up to six months or a year before needing to be replaced. While there’s nothing necessarily wrong with that, it can be easy to forget and go months with untreated water.
Thankfully, the Nahla Pure Premium Under Sink Water Filter will last up to three years and can treat a whopping ten thousand gallons of water. In addition to the sheer volume that you can treat with this system, the filter will remove up to 99.99% of contaminants, including lead, chlorine, calcium, and other chemicals.
Simply put, you will get the best water ever with this filter. What I like about the Nahla unit is that it mounts securely and easily to the wall under your sink. That way, it stays out of the way, and you can simply pop it out when the time comes to replace it. The wall mounts clips onto the filter to hold it in place, but removing it is just a matter of unhooking it from your water line. Overall, this is a tremendous water filter that will last much longer than other brands.
Highlighted Features:
- High-capacity filter
- Removes up to 99.99% of contaminants
- Lasts up to eighteen times longer than before
- Rated for ten thousand gallons or three years
- Wall-mounted to save space
- Connects to any standard ⅜ inch water line
- Comes with hoses and mounting bracket
- Installation takes minutes
- Made in the USA
2. Woder 10K Ultra High Capacity Filtration System
Our next two filters are quite similar to each other, partly because they are made by the same company. Woder is a fantastic brand that makes high-quality water filtration systems, and the Ultra High-Capacity System is one of the best. Much like the Nahla model, you can process up to ten thousand gallons of water with this device, which means that it will last up to three years with no issues.
Additionally, this filtration system will filter out almost all chemicals and minerals from your water, including magnesium, chlorine, fluoride, and chlorine. If you want the cleanest water possible, then get this filter. The only thing about it is that you cannot run super hot water through it for extended periods, as that could damage the filter inside. Nonetheless, you can treat water up to 200 degrees Fahrenheit, which should be hot enough for most applications.
What I like most about the Woder unit is that it comes pre-assembled and it mounts easily to the wall. You don’t have to connect the hoses to the filter and putting it on the wall takes about five minutes. The other thing that’s great about it is that you can swap out filters when they get old, rather than having to replace the whole unit. Finally, this water filter is NSF approved and comes with a money-back guarantee from Woder.
Highlighted Features:
- Eliminates 99.99% of contaminants and minerals
- Long hoses for easier installation
- Hooks up in five minutes
- Filters up to ten thousand gallons
- Lasts up to three years
- NSF approved and tested
- Connects to any standard water line
- Comes assembled
- Mounts to the wall
- Money-back guarantee
3. Woder 10K-GenII Water Filtration System
Our next filter from Woder is the 10K-Genll High-Capacity Water Filtration System. This unit is very similar to the one above, although it does have a couple of key distinctions. First, the setup is different regarding how you mount it below your sink. While the other filter had a linear hookup, meaning that you put a hose on each end from top to bottom, with this system both hoses attach to the top. What this means is that it attaches vertically to your wall.
Neither system is necessarily better, though, as the different methods can be easier to install in certain applications. As far as performance, however, the 10K-Genll is another high-capacity unit, meaning that it can process up to ten thousand gallons of water before having to change the filter. It also means that you can go up to three years between refills, which is super convenient. As far as filtration goes, this device cleans out up to 99.99% of contaminants, including lead, chlorine, fluoride, and calcium.
Like the other water filter, what I like about this model is that it comes pre-assembled, so the entire installation process takes just a few minutes. Also, you can replace the filter without having to get rid of the whole unit, which makes the whole thing so much simpler and efficient. Finally, this unit is also NSF approved and comes with a money-back guarantee from Woder.
Highlighted Features:
- Wall mounted unit
- Removes up to 99.99% of contaminants
- Processes up to ten thousand gallons of water
- Lasts for up to three years
- Connects to any standard size water line
- Processes five gallons per minute
- Optimal temperature range of 43-100 degrees F
- NSF approved
- Replaceable filters
- Comes assembled
- Installs in five minutes
- Money-back guarantee
4. Culligan US-EZ-4 EZ-Change Level-4
Thus far, we’ve only looked at high-capacity filtration systems. While these are ideal for people who like to go years without changing filters, they can be a bit pricier. If you want something more cost-effective, the Culligan US-EZ-4 Drinking Water System is a device that can clean your water extremely well, just not as long. With this filter, you will have to change it every six months or so. As far as cleaning goes, the EZ-4 filters out most common contaminants, like chlorine, lead, and calcium.
It also mounts to the wall for easy and hassle-free installation. What sets this system apart from the others, however, is that it comes with its own faucet. If you have an old sink, your faucet may have calcium deposits inside of it, which means you could be drinking tainted water even with a filter. Fortunately, this system has you covered and provides a stainless steel faucet that will not rust or collect mineral deposits. The other thing I like about this filter is that it is NSF certified. Although you are changing filters more often, you still get incredible water.
Highlighted Features:
- Wall mounted unit
- Twist on and off easily
- Processes up to five hundred gallons
- Lasts for up to six months
- Hose and connecting materials included
- Eliminates most water contaminants
- NSF certified
- Quick and easy installation
- Connects to any standard water line
- Comes with a lead-free faucet
5. Pentek P-250A Under Sink Water Filter Set
Finally, we have the Pentek P-250A Water Filter Set. This is not a filtration system itself, but instead, it is a filter replacement. Technically, this setup is designed for the Pentek US-1000 Water Filter System, but the reality is that you can fit it into most water filters, including most of the ones I’ve listed above. In fact, you can use this filter in the Culligan system, and since this filter can process up to 1000 gallons of water, that means that you can double its lifespan and change filters less often.
The P-250A is rated to remove most volatile compounds from your water, including lead, magnesium, calcium, and fluoride. In fact, it will take out up to 43 different substances, making your water as clean as possible. This filter comes in two pieces and is NSF approved. It will last for up to a year before needing replacement.
Highlighted Features:
- Fits the Pentek US-1000 Water Filter
- May fit other water filters as well
- Removes up to 43 contaminants
- NSF certified
- Can process up to 1000 gallons
- Lasts up to one year
- Ideal for commercial or personal use
Final Verdict:
As far as water filtration systems go, I would have to recommend either Woder unit or the Nahla. Personally, I prefer convenience over anything, and the fact that I can go three years without needing to change a filter is enough for me.
When comparing the three different filters, I do like Woder a little better because they are certified by the National Sanitation Foundation, and they do come pre-assembled. The Nahla unit is not NSF approved, but they do get tested by an independent company for safety. Overall, if you want a filter that you can install and then not worry about, I would choose either Woder System.
